Since this is your first time launching File Freak, there are some initial things to take care of. File Freak works quickly by accessing a static index of your files. Now is a good time to create these files.
You can Index Applications - File Freak will search your local hard drives for applications (programs) and store the list in a file. This should only take a few seconds. Thereafter other types of files will be searched and indexed as needed.
Or Index All - File Freak will search for applications as well as folders, movies, pictures, and other common types of files so that you can access all of them instantly in the future. This may take up to a minute (or more if you have lots and lots of files).
